Gas to Gas Heat Exchanger

A glass tube air preheater is a kind of air preheater. It takes a borosilicate glass tube as a heat transfer element that can bear certain high temperature and temperature differences. Using a glass tube air preheater is one of the measures to prevent low-temperature dew point corrosion. At present, the glass tube air preheater used in some boilers is transformed from the steel tube air preheater in the low-temperature section. The glass tube is resistant to all kinds of corrosion. The air temperature rises after passing through the glass tube. When entering the upper section of the steel tube section, the temperature of the pipe wall is higher than the dew point of the flue gas due to the high temperature of the flue gas and the air, thus avoiding the occurrence of low-temperature corrosion in the steel tube preheater.

The use of a glass tube air preheater does not prevent low-temperature corrosion by increasing the inlet air temperature, so it will not cause the rise of exhaust gas temperature. At the same time, due to the reduction of ash accumulation and blockage, the heat transfer effect is improved, the exhaust gas temperature may also be reduced,
and the ventilation resistance is reduced, the auxiliary power consumption will also be reduced. The practice shows the economic benefit of replacing steel tubes with a glass tube to prevent low-temperature corrosion of air preheaters in the low-temperature section is better than that of using hot air recirculation or air heater. The tube breakage rate and air leakage rate of the glass tube air preheater is rather low when the design is excellent, the manufacturing and installation quality are well-paid attention to, and the operation is carefully maintained.
