Boiler Air Pre-heater

A flue gas preheater (GGH flue gas preheater) is a kind of gas-gas heat exchange equipment, using heat pipe as heat transfer element, low-temperature flue gas goes on one side, high-temperature flue gas goes on the other side, transferring heat through the heat pipe.

Improve Boiler Air Pre-heater

Air preheater is important equipment that is installed as an accessory to a boiler. The working principle of an air preheater is to preheat the air with waste heat from the exhaust gas. During this process, the waste heat from the exhaust gas is recovered and the temperature of the air is lifted for better combustion in the chamber, saving energy and cost for industries.

We design and fabricate two types of air preheaters. One is fully welded plate type and the other is tubular type.
Plate type takes welded plate bundles as the heat transfer element. Space channels between plates can be designed at different heights according to the flow rate and composition of flue gas.

Advantages of plate type air preheater are as below:

  • High heat transfer efficiency
  • Compact structure, less installation space
  • Easy assembly on site
  • Easy maintenance
  • Long service life and low operation cost

While if the flue gas contains any corrosive component and the temperature drop below 130 ℃, the dew point corrosion will occur. In this situation, the tubular type air preheater will be a better choice. Instead of plate bundles, the tubular type air preheater takes tube bundles as heat transfer elements. Combustion air flows inside the
tubes and flue gas flows adversely outside the tubes. Tube material can be enamel tubes, glass tubes, and silicon tubes.
